Designs and styles:

The following designs are stocked in the UK and enjoy short lead times of 2 weeks - add a few days if you require special sizes or windows.

Wood Design: Golden Oak and Rosewood finish are stocked in the UK and enjoy short lead times of 2-3 weeks - add a few days if you require special sizes or windows.  Dark Oak is a lead time of 6-8 weeks.

Special finishes: The following designs not held in stock and are made to order in Germany so have a lead time of 6-8 weeks.

Glazing: Windows in three designs are available as an option in the top section of a Georgian door only.  As an example a 14' wide door will have five windows at a cost of £375 inc VAT. See full pricing tables below. Handles: As most doors are fitted with electric operation these days, doors are supplied with no handles and no pre-cut hole.  Standard black handles are £50 inc VAT and include multi-point locking system, the hole is usually cut on site (but can be done in the factory for an extra £50 inc VAT). Delivery: Delivery times vary slightly:   - All white & wood design doors are 2 weeks  - All made to measure white & wood design     doors are 2 to 3 weeks  - All colours 4 to 6 weeks  - Special finishes are 6-8 weeks All doors are supplied flat packed and are built up on site in 5/6 hours.

Colours: White doors are cheapest and available quickly from stock. All doors are available in colours from the RAL colour chart at additional cost.  Carteck have selected some popular colours, called "Trend colours" (see right) and priced them at favourable rates.   Other colours from the RAL colour chart are also available. Standard Ribbed door with traditional glazing

Choosing the correct size:
CarTeck sectional doors usually fit inside the garage on the rear face of the brickwork (reveals) and require 85mm of clearance on either side and 115mm the headroom clearance (the distance between ordering height and the ceiling).  This applies to all door sizes and thicknesses and also includes space for any 30mm electric opener boom.

CarTeck sectional door can also be fitted between the bricks with the use of a side fixing kit at £50 inc VAT.

What happens if your opening does not match a standard size of door?  Don't forget you can remove existing wooden frames to improve the drive-through width.  You have a couple of options... here is an example.

Mr Jones' garage opening size is 7'9" wide x 7' high and he wishes to fit a CarTeck: Option 1 - install an 8' wide x 7' high door.  As the door fits behind the brickwork some of the door simply does not show, however, the internal garage width will need to be at least 2438mm (8') plus 2 x 83mm clearance, i.e. 2604mm.  In height the clearance will need to be 2125mm (7') + 115mm clearance, i.e. 2240mm. Option 2 - install a 7'6" wide x 7' high door.  All doors have a 83mm wide fully finished white (or coloured if you order a coloured door) frame which mounts to the brickwork.  The drive through width will be reduced and 1½" of frame will be visible on either side.  The internal garage width will need to be at least 2286mm (7'6") plus 2 x 83mm clearance, i.e. 2372mm.

Cardale offer the following warranty:

 - 5-year 'safe and reliable operation' (provided it is maintained according to the manual)
 - 10-year 'installed parts' (all immovable frame parts)
 - 5-year 'mechanical parts' (on rollers, hinges, springs, pullies and cables, max 5 open/closing cycles per day)
 - 10-year 'delamination' (steel coming away from the foam)
 - 10-year 'panel corrosion' 
 - 10-year 'seal degredation'

Additional info:
Doors are made up of four sections 'stacked' on top of each other.
A double skin of steel adds stiffness and therefore makes for a more secure door. 
If a section gets damaged, then it can be replaced with a couple of hours work.
