How to Order Overview
Gliderol roller doors are made with a galvanised steel profile curtain with
maintenance - free Plastisol coating which runs in steel guide rails
on either side. The door mounts to rear face of the garage door
opening which often allows for a wider opening width - useful for
today's bigger cars.
Roller doors offer increased security as the door is held in
'C' guides all
of the way down both sides of the door from floor to ceiling. Gliderol
roller doors also reduce the drafts in your garage compared to standard 'up and
over' doors as they have with weather seals across the
base of the door and a tight fit in the guides.
Unlike an 'up and over' garage door a Gliderol
door rolls up vertically and consequently doesn't swing out in front of the garage. This means you can park right up to the door and benefit from more hanging space in the roof of the garage. Also
see pictures of a Roller garage door being
installed. |

Replacing
old doors: Most people remove the old door and frame to give a
wider opening, i.e. a 7' wide traditional door door would generally give
a 7'6" brick to brick width - a lot easier to drive through.
Guarantee information:
Gliderol doors are built to take the wear and tear of life and the weather and
they are able to provide some impressive guarrantees as long as the door is
reasonably maintained:
10-year Plastisol door finish
6-year mechanical parts
2-year electric parts
Delivery
As a rule of thumb orders received in week 1 are manufactured during week 2 and
delivered direct from the manufacturer during week 3. Delivery is free for
the majority of UK destinations however the Scottish Highlands and other outlying
areas will attract a delivery charge
(approx' £30) - contact us for details.
Options/choices
Gliderol Roller doors are available in a choice of 9 colours at no additional
charge - White, Mushroom, Goosewing Grey, British Racing Green, Olive Green,
Night Blue, Burgundy, Vandyke Brown, Terracotta, Mahogany Woodgrain, Golden Oak

Electric operation is also available and comes complete with two remote
controls, an internal courtesy light and auto-reverse safety sensor system. Additional remote controls can be added to your order at
£40 inc
VAT. In the event of a power failure you will need to access the garage via a
personnel door to engage the manual override and open the door manually.
If you do not have an alternative way into the garage then you must purchase the
'External Manual Release/Electric Key Switch' at £80 inc VAT. This is
fitted next to the garage door... turning the key in one direction enables you
to open the door if there is a power cut and turning the key in the other
direction allows you to open the door with the electric motor (assuming there is
power!).
The Windlock System should be specified for double doors being fitted to
garages in exposed locations - typically £100 depending on the height of the
door.
